CYMBALS - beware of "starter packs" where you get a set of cymbals fairly cheap -
they sound cheap (trash can lids) - Sabian - stay away from B8 - I recommend AA and HH
- Zildjian - stay away from ZBT and ZXT - I recommend A and K
- Paiste - stay away from 302, 502, &802
HEADS
- Try to avoid single ply heads on top - double ply lasts much longer and keeps
a better sound.

--Ben White is a former student and currently good friend and colleague.
