Jennett Rueckert Smithhisler is currently in her fourth year with the Massillon Band program. She is a 1999 graduate of Washington High School, and performed in Carnegie Hall with the WHS Wind Orchestra in the spring of 1997.
After high school, Mrs. Smithhisler attended Bowling Green State University on a music talent scholarship. While at BGSU, Mrs. Smithhisler also earned a Music Education Talent Scholarship. She was involved in numerous ensembles and was an equipment Manager for the band department through the band service sorority, Tau Beta Sigma. In may of 2003 Mrs. Smithhisler graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities at school, Jenn teaches privately and still performs on a regular basis. She is a Senior Airman in the Air Force National Guard Band of the Great Lakes, stationed in Toledo, OH. She also is a member of the Kent Stark Jazz Society. Jenn currently resides in Massillon. |
