Jason Neel has completed his second year as head director of the Massillon Tiger Swing Band. As a 1994 graduate of GlenOak High School, he was a member of the Golden Eagle marching, jazz, and symphonic bands. Mr. Neel attended The Ohio State University and marched with the OSU Marching Band for four years (1994-1997). He was also a member of the OSU concert band, symphony orchestra and jazz ensemble. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree and had been a band director in the Green Local School District for 8 years before coming to Massillon. While attending Ohio State, he worked two summer internships under director Chris Smith, gaining valuable insight into the Greatest Show in High School Football. Jason and his wife, Elizabeth, have two daughters, Emily and Lauren, and a son, Michael. |
